Programme for the week

Hamina Tattoo - the International Military Music Event - was arranged for the first time in 1990. Since then, it has established its position as a major review of military music, extending over one week every second year. The Tattoo is arranged during the first week in August, and the main shows take place right in the heart of Hamina, in the renovated Hamina Bastion, which is fitted with a canopy.

In the Hamina Tattoo, military musicians from different countries and cultures meet each other. They are bonded together by their love for music and a shared devotion, which carries music across boundaries.

The Tattoo week provides memorable musical experiences in the streets, parks and market places of this old fortress town, where the sea is never far away.
